Our pets are our family and greatest companions. The bond shared between a dog and their human family is one of the greatest joys in life and can be deeply enriching and rewarding. The foundation of this relationship needs to be built with love and respect. We all want to have a dog that listens to us so that we can live happily and harmoniously together. However the path to achieving this is not always clear and can be quite challenging. Clear communication with your dog is fundamental to their learning.
I can help set you and your new puppy or rescue dog up for success, or work through some behavior challenges you may be facing. I offer in home consultations with follow up visits to help you and your dog find your rhythm. With patience, persistence and a little help everyone can have the dog of their dreams.
Training dogs is one of my greatest pleasures. I am all about redirection of unwanted behaviors and using positive reinforcement for desired behavior. I focus on creating games to enhance their learning and always present choices so that they are constantly thinking instead of being coerced or forced. The journey has been more about training myself to be the best leader and finding new ways to motivate them, while honoring their individuality and true nature.
I have two cats and two dogs. My dogs require a great deal of exercise and socializing so we are out and about at parks or bush tracks at least twice a day. I can accommodate an extra 4 pups for these walks which are usually around 1.5 hours long and include plenty of play time with other dogs. I am happy to pick up and drop off your dog for these walks, however I can only take dogs that do not show any aggression and walk well off the lead, so have a strong recall.
We are also open to having your fur baby stay with us for a day or night if they are well behaved and get along well with dogs and cats. They will get 2 walks a day, plenty of play with Harvey and Prisma as well as lots of cuddles from me.
I look forward to meeting you and your dog and learning how I can help. ...
