I am 18 years old and have just wrapped up my final year of schooling. I am studying a bachelor of psychology at uni. I am a highly motivated individual and I strive hard to achieve my goals. My friends and teachers have described me as an easygoing, laidback, approachable, respectful, trustworthy, kind, and quiet individual. I won’t let you down.
My love for animals has always been strong. I have had a dog by my side since I was born and currently have 2 of my own living at my father’s house. The past couple of years i have experienced living with both cats and rabbits as well as my dogs. I recently lost my sweet girl to cancer and have been trying to get back on track, however i've struggled without her by my side. While i don't feel ready to purchase another dog of my own, i do believe that working with animals will help me lots at this point in time. I have a cocker spainel and a german shepherd who live with my dad and i recently purchased a female cocker spaniel puppy. Harley is 6 months old and lives with me inside. She’s a bit on the shy side but after a bit of comfort she warms up to new people and dogs well.
As someone who struggles with anxiety and working with people, I have a true passion for caring for animals, especially dogs and enjoy working with dogs of any size. I'd love to take your dog or dogs out on a stroll, check in on them, and care for them when you're unavailable to do so and I promise to care for your pet as if they're my own.
I'd prefer to work with dogs that are well trained - e.g walk on the lead well, wait at crossings, ignore other dogs, listen to commands, dont bite etc.
I’d also prefer that the overnight stays be at my house as that’s where i’m more comfortable! i have a decent sized front yard where your dog can play (supervised) and my back yard is a fully sheltered deck meaning there’s no grass out there! There are dog friendly parks nearby so if your dog is well trained and will listen when called, i am more than happy to take them round there for a run!
Thank you for your time, I look forward to the possibility of caring for your beautiful furbaby....
