About Maria
Hanging out with pets is my happy space! I was brought up in Ireland so animals were always part of the scene. I learned to ride horses at age 5 and decided I wanted to be a vet soon after. In the end I went for another career but have always loved being around animals.
I moved to Australia 7 years ago and fostered for the RSPCA and GAP through Covid lockdowns. That enabled me to learn about different breeds, their traits and each pet's personality. I also worked with the RSPCA behaviourists on some of the tougher cases which I found very rewarding.
I am single and travel for work occasionally so can't have my own pets. If I can help others juggle their pet care responsibilities, then I see that as a joint-win. I have a large house with a fenced backyard and am happy for the pets to sleep inside or out depending on their preference. There are also lots of parks and beaches nearby.

Maria was really great looking after our pup while we were away. She put in time to getting an understanding of our dog, his personality, and his needs, which was really important to us and very appreciated.
