Hi!
I'm Robin, a student from the Philippines. I came to Australia with my girlfriend on January 2024. I'm currently studying for web development at TAFE Queensland. I consider myself an outdoors-y person, I love long hikes and I have experience with trekking/scrambling too. My current hobby is Bouldering/Rock Climbing.
Ever since I was a kid I always loved animals, and I don't remember a point in time when I didn't have a pet. When I used to live with my parents I would take care of two dogs and one cat. Troy the Shitzu, Akinah the German Shepherd, and Rooroo the Siamese Cat.
I could talk on and on about all my pets but I'll focus on Akinah. We adopted Akinah from a family friend who could no longer take care of her around 2020. Taking care of Akinah really helped me get through Covid, since she's a 4 year old German Shepherd, I knew she needed a lot of exercise and training, and I also wanted to give her the best possible life I could with the time I had. So I made it a point to get up every morning around 6 am, and go for a jog with her, come back, do 10-15 minutes of obedience training then go to work. She gave me something to look forward to every morning.
Here in Australia, I live with my cousin who has 2 Staffies, and 2 Cats. I would also walk, and play and cuddle with all of them.
I currently study at TAFE Queensland, and even if I don't have classes I usually go to the city to rock climb so I'm almost never really at home. I currently do not have any work right now and only study. My classes are usually in the morning and I get off at 2:30pm at the latest with no classes on Tuesdays and Fridays. I would love to host pets but I'm worried there might be issues with the dynamic since I do have 2 staffies in the house, so I'm more inclined to pet sit, house visit, or dog walk....
