About Kathy

My name is Kathy. I have had pets all my life. During my time raising a family I've cared for cats, dogs, rabbits, horses, guinea pigs, goats, chickens, ducks and pigeons! We've always had a menagerie of creatures in our lives, especially with a young family! Now I am semi retired and recently lost my lovely white German Shepherd who has been my shadow for the last 12 years and my 20 year old cat Benny. I miss the joy that pets bring and while I'm not yet ready to replace them with another of my own, I love the company of animals.

My daughter has a rescue Staffy x who we care for occasionally, my son has a chihuahua. My dog was also a rescue, so we've had some experience with dogs that have had troubled pasts and need some boundaries and tenderness. We have had dogs and cats in the house together for years and understand that you might be wanting to keep your babies together while you are taking a break. We can accommodate pairs of furry friends.

I work primarily from home, except in the weekends when I take my stock to markets. I set my own hours each day. My partner Noel also works from home as a composer.

We are currently living in a rear townhouse in a quiet street. It has a fully enclosed back yard and a dog park at the end of the street. We are close to several parklands which are perfect for dogs. Yarra Flats parklands and Wombat Bend are close by. The home itself is safe and secure and away from the street.

I'm a keen walker and enjoy dogs of all shapes and sizes. I am also used to walking dogs that aren't good with other dogs. We have several excellent local vets available nearby in case of emergency.

Your baby's wellbeing is my top priority while they are in my care. As a mature age person I have an understanding of the commitment required to care for pets and also what it means to be a pet mum, even a casual one! It's not a role I take lightly and will do my best to ensure your pet is treated with the utmost care and respect....
