Since elementary school, I've had experience caring for large dogs. My first pet and family member was a Chow Chow named Lulu. She loved playing tug-of-war with me but didn't like anyone touching her head. My second pet, a Labrador seen in my profile picture, was named Barton. He was a gluttonous boy but extremely smart, and I spent 10 years with him. We often went to the park with my parents, where he enjoyed fetching frisbees and playing tug-of-war.
Later, many stray cats came to our yard, starting my journey of cat care. They got along well with Barton, who protected them. Then, in high school in Canada, I had a cat to spend every day with. His name was Cheese, a large tabby cat, incredibly smart, and knew how to ask for playtime and treats. He slept on top of my head every night. After completing my undergraduate studies, I brought him back to China and shared my home with a white cat raised by my mother, named Xiaomi. Xiaomi's possible insecurity stemmed from his days as a stray. He consistently lingered near the food bowl, eager to eat at the earliest chance. When joyful, Xiaomi delighted in parkour, demonstrating his amusing and playful character.
Altogether, I have twelve years of experience in caring for both dogs and cats. I'm responsible, patient, and empathetic towards animals. Now, I am a graduate student in UQ, I'm not planning to own pets due to future uncertainties. However, I dearly miss the times spent with them. If you ever need someone to care for your ‘fur babies’ while you're away, contact me. I'll treat them with the same love and care as my own....
