My name is Aimee. I am 28 years old and am a qualified secondary college English teacher. I am currently studying my Certificate III in Animal Studies through TAFE NSW. My TAFE course is providing me with in-depth understanding of pet hygiene, diet, injury prevention, training and effective enrichment strategies. I have so far completed 100 hours of work experience at a dog day care/training facility where I have had the opportunity to learn many dog handling skills within an actual animal care environment.
Previously, in 2017, whilst studying at university, my placement mentor asked me if I would be free to in-home pet sit their Labrador for four weeks over the Christmas holidays. I went on to gain a position as a full-time teacher at this same school the following year. Word travels fast around a school yard and I became regularly booked (often double-booked) by fellow staff over the years that I have taught here.
One of the biggest concerns I would imagine is knowing if the person you are leaving in charge of your house and pets is responsible and trustworthy, and therefore, I come with references from some of the owners I have worked alongside.
Our pets are such an integral part of the people we become and deserve to be looked after with the utmost of care and nourishment. I look forward to meeting you and the beloved beings you are raising.
Many thanks and speak soon,
Aimee....
