About Samantha & George

ABOUT US:
I’m Sam, a 24-year-old working holiday maker from the UK travelling Australia with my partner George. We’ve both grown up owning cats, dogs and even chickens, and have loved house and pet sitting during our time here so far.

I’ve currently got a six-year-old border collie at home who is energetic and funny. We miss her so much. George has also owned bulldogs, and we are both experienced walking and taking care of dogs of all sizes. We can confidently medicate pets, ensure they receive adequate exercise and stimulation, and we can definitely give plenty of top class cuddles!

We’ve also had a lot of experience with very timid and frightened animals who we have been able to bring out of their shell, which is something we love doing.

We currently don’t have a property where we can have other people’s pets, but we love to dog walk and can offer day visits and longer-term house & pet sitting. We’re very open to sits of varying durations and responsibilities.

Sam and George stayed in my home for a week while I was overseas visiting family. They were both great at communicating throughout our organising the sit and while I was away. My rescue cat Bernard is quite shy and they really helped him to come out of his shell and I felt really comfortable leaving him and having them look after him. It was really easy to have Sam and George in my home, they left it the way they found it, excluding the stripped bed and washing on the line which was great! I am very happy to recommend Sam and George for any sit. You won't regret having them stay in your home and look after you fur baby.…

The whole process with Sam and George can be summarised in one word, "easy". They were a dream to have come sit our 2 cats and 2 chickens. They were great communicators, left the house cleaner than they found it, and even took the liberty of washing their bedding (which we didn't ask them too, and was a very nice gesture!). They were great with communication the whole way through, sent us update photos during their stay and let us know when they had locked up and left. Coming home to a clean house and 2 VERY happy cats was a fantastic finish to our holiday. On a logistics note, they were happy to adhere to our feeding schedule for the cats, and kept the chickens water and feed full. It was clear to see the cats had been given ample play time and were not devoid of affection one bit. Also, they emptied refreshed the litter box, and set out the cat food before they left so we wouldn't have to, which was awesome! Thank you Sam and George, would 10/10 have sit again!…

Sam and George stayed at our house to take care of our cat Maisie for a week in July. They were clearly animal lovers and Maisie picked up on that immediately. She ended up sleeping on their bed with them! They followed all instructions given on what and when to feed her and were particularly respectful of our home during the stay. We will be looking to book them again in the future and would wholeheartedly recommend them. Thank you Sam and George x…
