**About Me**
I'm a Canadian who has lived in Australia for the past 8 years. Now an Australian PR, my next goal is to become your preferred cat sitter as the resident North Melbourne Cat Daddy. I am happy to travel to neighbouring suburbs such as West Melbourne, Kensington, Parkville etc.
I own a 2 year old cat named Indy (well.. actually he owns me) who I baby far too much. When I'm not looking after him, I'm working as a programmer, cooking up a storm, playing board games or working on my pet project (we have a cat food review website for Australia - indyreviewscatfood.com) My previous experiences also include adventures while cat sitting on a farm for over 30 cats, owning a rabbit & fish and volunteering at the SPCA (mostly dogs at that time).
**Pricing Notes**
Prices are for up to 1 suburb away from Kensington (within 10 minute bike ride, this covers a portion of Kensington, North Melbourne, Parkville, CBD, Carlton, West Melbourne etc.).
Since Madpaws does pricing differently from Pawshake, I have copied my Pawshake pricing which is NOT per pet, but inclusive of 2 cats.
Note: For bookings in 2024, I am looking to expand my footprint to additional suburbs covering Moonee Ponds, Footscray, Maribyrnong, Ascot Vale, Brunswick, Brunswick East, Brunswick West, Carlton, and Carlton North. Feel free to get in touch about details.
If you are outside this area, I can provide petsitting at a custom rate. If it is far outside my area, there will be an additional cost to cover time/transport. Happy to discuss if that is feasible!
**What I offer**
- Visits (once or twice a day, 1 visit ~40 mins, 2 visits ~30 mins each - priced as pet minding): feeding, litter check/change, playtime and general social interaction (aka them ignoring me while I look on), general tidying/cleanup
- House sitting with the pet (same as above but will be staying over at the house and while I work (I WFH so that can be a benefit if you require someone around for most of the 24 hours. Additional time is spent on social interactions, more frequent litter checks and ability to notice changes/irregularities easier)
- Prices include up to 2 cats
- Daily photo/videoes of your baby included of course!
- Happy to collect mail/water plants if you require
Additional services (some for additional cost - discuss as needed)
- Dog feeding/walking/playtime (to be discussed if dog care if required alongside cat)
- Administering medicine/special foods (e.g. raw, medicine in food etc.)
- Weekly grooming as needed
- Teeth brushing (if your cat can take it!)
**Why I'm different**
- Attention to detail pet sitting following your instructions as you desire. I always try to offer some suggestions/recommendations at the end of pet sitting based on my experiences/observations. My goal is to make you and your pet's life better!
- If you are in my normal service area, I am happy to offer WFH at your place for a portion of the pet sitting duration (schedule permitting) if you want your pet to have company during the day. This is for NO additional cost but please enquire for further details.
- Premium photos high quality photos taken on my camera of your babies on request (Got a new camera so always an execuse to use it!) (normal daily photos are pixel 7 phone photos)
**Why you want me as your cat sitter**
I know how tough it is to leave your cat behind and I hope I can make the time away as painless as possible. I endeavour to offer a routine as close to yours in terms of feeding, playtime and other habits. I'm religious with my own cat's routine (I have a 3 page doco for my flatmate when I'm away!) and I carry that same commitment when I look after someone else's cat.
I'm not just a cat sitter! I want to build a relationship with both you and your pets so we're all on the same page. I'm happy to discuss any specifics in routine, feeding etc as needed. Chester has looked after our cat Daifuku many times over the last few years, he is the go-to person for cat sitting when we are away. We first had him looking after Daifuku when Daifuku was still a kitten!! He would note down our cats habits and favorite food/ toy etc carefully each time. Being a cat owner himself, he’s so knowledgeable and gave us many many tricks and tips in how to better look after our cat. Would highly recommend Chester to anyone who is looking for a reliable pet sitter

There are not many out there that are made like Chester. I can honestly say that I am sure my cat secretly likes him more than me 😅.
I have a fussy cat who has not always gotten along with his sitters and Chester is the only one so far that he has taken a shine to.
Chester is fabulous with communication and the majority of the time he makes sure I'm organised with my dates, he also provides detailed updates and makes sure that your fur baby is left happy and well played with. Among all of this, he also has a extensive knowledge about cats in general and this is due to his dedication to his own little ball of fur.
I highly recommend Chester for taking care of your little one. You definitely will not be disappointed 😊
