About Ceilani & Dan
When I was 5 years old my parents bought our first family dog - Narla the Rhodesian ridgeback. They met this breed whilst they were back packing Africa shortly before I was born. Along with Narla, I grew up, in the British countryside with an array of ponies, horses, hens and cats, in which I was taught to take responsibility for.
After Narla’s passing, I had a ridgeback sized whole in my life and heart, which led to my very own dog, Riley. She has taught me so much as a dog owner, as any other ridgeback owner knows, you need a lot of patience for this independent breed. She is now 6 years old and is the absolute angel of my life, I miss her so dearly but I know she is in great hands with my parents until I arrive home from our trip.
My fiancé and I are currently backpacking, we set off on New Year’s Day 2024. We have been to Egypt to see the pyramids, volunteered at a Maasai school in Kilimanjaro Tanzania for a month, explored the beaches of Thailand, ate lots of food in Vietnam, lived it up in Bali and now we are enjoying the amazing way of life in Australia. When we are caring for your beloved pet, that is simply all we’re doing, we want to focus our intention on experiencing the laidback lifestyle of Australia whilst enjoying the company of a fury friend!
Family members and friends have frequently trusted myself and Dan to care for their pets - sometimes for a day, a weekend or even a fortnight. The dogs have included, terriers, grey hounds, shih tzus, labradors, spaniels, dachshunds, husky and collie. We love walking when we have the motivation of a four legged friend but we are also down to chill on the sofa if that’s what they’d prefer. We can cater our days to your sweet family member as we have no other obligations!
