Hey all!
My names Emily Morey, and the beautiful fur Bub in my picture is Dusty, my German Shepard x Husky!
A bit about me is, I am 20 years old! I play and coach netball at my local club, Wodonga Saints and I currently work as a Education Support at Wodonga Middle Years College. An enjoyment of mine in my spare time is going for drives and going for a swim in the local lake.
In my mid teen years I volunteered for Wodonga Dog Rescue, from there I have been able to gain exposure in care for pooches in all ages and sizes. I have pet/house sat for many people in their homes. I have had dog walking/exercise jobs and currently have an on going one at the moment. I have worked with dogs in all sorts of ways, such has reactive, shy, social etc.
Early February I had the greatest experience of my life. I travelled over to Thailand by myself to volunteer at a dog rehabilitation centre, where we cared for dogs and cats from off the streets. Doing jobs such as feeding, basic grooming, cleaning their kennels, exercising/socialising, as well as assisted in adoptions by taking photos and videos. We also had the most rewarding job of going around to local packs of dogs and feeding them and watched the vet team care for the injured, vaccinate and desex.
After my time in Thailand it has inspired me to expand my knowledge and experience, to work on eventually opening up my own business of caring for the canine, and starting on Mad Paws I thought would be a great start!...
