You know the type of person who instinctively stoops down to greet the dog before the owner; the person at the dinner party that gravitates to the cat curled up on the rug in front the fire; the person who shouts hellooo as they drive past the cow eating grass by the side of the road? You know, "those type of people"? Well... I'm one of them.
I've had and looked after a multitude of animals since I can remember: dogs, cats, chooks, parrots, fish, guinea pigs, snakes, sheep, stick insects. After retiring from high school teaching, I have worked in a number of fields, including (and most relevant to this topic) 6 months in a kennel/cattery. Now, I am living on a beautiful rural property pursuing my desire to write (you know, one of "those people"), so I'm home all day.
Our property is 17 acres with securely fenced areas around the house and boundary. It suits medium to giant dogs, however, not jumpers, diggers, or escape artists.
Honey and Teddy are our two lovely canines. They play well with other dogs. Pixie and Tink are our gorgeous felines. They are used to dogs and have their own room to retreat to whenever they wish. Benj, our Love Bird, is getting a bit long in the beak, but is more than comfortable with other animals in the house.
During the day, your dog/s would have access to both inside the house and the outside fenced area around the house plus, a walk or run in the larger fenced paddock in the morning and evening. Sleeping arrangements are strictly inside the house at night.
Other animals, such as guinea pigs would be set up in a safe space away from dogs, cats etc.
NOTE: I offer different rates depending on the type of animal. Rates shown on the website apply to dogs only. Please ask me when enquiring regarding any other pet you may have.
We are eager to share our piece of beauty with your furry, feathery, slippery tyke :)...
