Your dog will be treated like my dog ... and they lived their best lives.
I have been a dog lover all my life and raised several of my own from Australian terriers to working dogs and German shepherds. I trained my dogs to a high standard of obedience and placing in several competitions.
The last 3.5 years I've successfully fostered two Australian Border Force puppies. One is now working in Melbourne and the other in the Army. I received these pups at 9 weeks old and fostered them till 15 months. During this time there specific targets they had to reach to move to the next stage. It was an amazing experience where my dog skills moved to the next level.
My apartment has an extraordinarily large deck with a solid wall enclosing the area where your dogs will be safe and there is always shelter/shade.
Steps leading directly from my deck to a fenced park area and a public golf course where dogs can be walked easily and safely. There are also a number of off lead fence parks either within walking distance or a short drive from the apartment.
Your dog will be allowed inside and treated like my own with plenty of cuddles, walks and socialisation (if that is what you would like).
I'm also a self-taught trainer having learnt these skills over many years competing, working with friends' dogs and with excellent guidance from trainers and development officers with the ABF. If this is something you would like we can discuss your needs.
I'm about to start my Certificate IV in Animal Behaviour and Training to increase my knowledge about dogs and what works for them.
I'd be happy to sit puppies and medium sized dogs to about 25 kg. I work from home 3 times a week so there is plenty of time for walks, training and adventures.
I have current Police and Working With Children Checks.

Mary-Lou looked after our 12-month-old labradoodle Scooby whilst we were on a family trip back to Perth. She has a beautiful connection with Scooby and even helped to practice all of his sit-stay-come commands - we came home to one happy well-behaved pooch! Would highly recommend Mary-Lou to look after anyone's furry friends!

We are so grateful to Mary-Lou showing us how to speak 'dog language' with our little Stevie. Stevie no longer pulls on the lead when we walk her and we constantly use the tip that Mary-Lou gave us about walking down the street and keeping Stevie close to us. It's opened up more social events for us to include Stevie and we are now proud parents of a well behaved dog! Mary-Lou certainly knows what she is doing when it comes to dogs. Highly recommend.
