This year, Pet Chemist made an impressive leap toward eco-friendly operations by installing a 40 kW solar panel system at their Tweed Heads warehouse.
This initiative is more than just a response to rising energy costs—it’s a reflection of a long-term commitment to reduce carbon emissions and embrace renewable energy.
Our solar panels earned us ‘net positive energy’ status
With the installation of these solar panels, Pet Chemist’s journey into sustainable energy has shown remarkable results. Right from the start, they saw a significant reduction in traditional energy use, directly benefiting the environment. Not only are they reducing their reliance on conventional power sources, but they’re also generating clean, renewable energy right where it’s needed.
In a recent triumph, Pet Chemist generated more power than they consumed for the first time ever. Last month, their solar panels produced an impressive 113 kWh surplus, which was fed back into the local grid—an exciting milestone that speaks volumes about their commitment to a greener future.
With the sunny months ahead, we’re optimistic about Pet Chemist’s continued energy gains. As they build toward a sustainable, low-impact future, they’re also working to bring this vision full circle by exploring more eco-conscious choices across their supply chain.
